What if this were your next job?

You are responsible for the end-to-end management of various pension fund accounting files. This includes:

  • Full processing of the accounting through to year-end closing, preparation of declarations for the FSMA and the NBB, preparation of the annual accounts, preparation of the General Assembly and reports to the Board of Directors, etc.
  • Analysis and processing of data and follow-up/resolution of any issues in collaboration with the client and/or the actuary.
  • Exchange of information with clients, mainly multinationals and large Belgian companies.
  • Contributing to the implementation of future-proof systems tailored to pension funds.

 

In short, you actively contribute to the reliability and accuracy of Conac’s accounting processes.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting-Taxation and have at least 3 years of experience in a fiduciary/accounting firm or a General Ledger accounting department.
  • You are eager to discover the unique world of pension fund accounting.
  • You are motivated to grow into an expert responsible for client files.
  • You will help build tomorrow’s IT environment.
  • You have strong analytical skills.
  • You are able to provide advice on client files.
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and are able to carry out assignments independently.
  • You have good organizational skills and know how to set priorities.
  • Your mother tongue is Dutch or French, and you have a good knowledge of the other national language. Knowledge of English is an asset.

Under the guidance of a Senior Actuary, you will actively contribute to various projects for pension funds and large companies:

  • You are the main point of contact for the client and you are responsible for:
    • The actuarial management of pension funds (actuarial valuations, reports, advice, funding follow-up, …);
    • IFRS/IAS calculations and reporting;
    • High-level analysis of client-specific changes;
    • Process documentation.
  • You provide consulting to clients on:
    • The Funding Plan, SIP, ALM, continuity test, reinsurance, …;
    • The design of pension regulations and the implementation of new pension plans;
    • The impact of new pension legislation, FSMA circulars, …;
    • M&A.
  • You provide a critical analysis of business processes.
Do you recognise yourself in this profile?
  • You hold a Master’s degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Applied Economics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • You have between 3 and 6 years of experience.
  • You have a strong analytical and critical mindset.
  • You are communicative and have strong interpersonal skills. You can convey your ideas to others in a clear and structured way.
  • You are a strong team player and enjoy working with colleagues from different departments.
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and are able to handle assignments independently. Organisational skills and setting priorities are key.
  • As a consultant, you can build a relationship of trust with clients and you adopt a customer-oriented approach in every aspect of your job.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and have a good knowledge of French.
